My best experience was flying my 5 inch for the first time. After many hours of tinkering and wondering if I would get it to work and it finally flew. It was so much more powerful than the 3 inch I was flying before. I went with another pilot to the field and we randomly ran into another 2 pilots which turned into an unexpected quad meet-up which was fun.

I started off last year with a little analog 3.5 inch. I think it was an hglrc petrel.

The goggles 2 and integra are basically compatible with everything right now. They just don’t support race mode with the o4 pro with is a bit annoying. I don’t see why you’d need an HDMI port but if you do then you’d have to get an older pair but they won’t be compatible with the newer units.
So my recommendation would be to get goggles 2 / integra

I like the nylon front end. It’s great to not have to worry much about smashing a lense especially if your running o4. This will be my next build

Maybe look into heated lips bags. I haven’t tried it myself so I can’t say how effective it is but it should help keep your packs warm

Hi Jon, check this page for a budget 5 inch build. I would go for something like this:

This is a great beginner setup over all but here are some points about the goggles:

The air 75 will not be compatible with the betafpv vr04 hd goggles because they use a different protocol (air 75 uses analog, vr04 uses the new Artlynk protocol is only compatible with the betafpv p1 unit from how I understand it)

Basically there are different protocols and your goggles have to match the one your drones vtx has.

Air 75 - Analog
Hdzero Boxpro - Hdzero + Analog
Betafpv vr04 Hd goggles - ArtLynk (p1 unit)

To match your air 75 you’ll need analog goggles. Those Hdzero goggles can also connect to analog but Hdzero in itself is just expensive so i don’t recommend when starting. You should get some analog goggles as they will be cheaper

Hope this helps and you get flying soon!

Left a review on product SpeedyBee Master 5 V2 Frame Kit

Such an underrated frame

This is the frame I use on my main quad and it is a beast! Maybe not a good option for hardcore freestyle pilots because of the weight but I can’t say it has been a big problem for me at all. Because there are no props in view it also removes the need to use a GoPro, decreasing weight.

I’ve been been abusing it for over a year and still haven’t broken any arms. Solid frame, would definitely recommend

Left a review on product RadioMaster Boxer Radio Controller

My go to radio!

I’ve tried multiple different radios and this one is definitely worth a try. One of the best feeling radios on the market. Fits perfectly in my bag and a great daily driver!👌

Agreed, I use b7000 for my conformal coating and it works great
