I'm building a big one, (12") first time with Inav.
Regarding the layout of the FC and ESC - I'm using a magnetometer, do you think it's far enough from the ESC to minimise interference? All the power cables will be in the front part of the drone. I don't want a mast if possible, but I don't have experience with compasses on drones.
Opinions please 🙏 🤙

I'm rebuilding this old beast, i originally got it in 2015.
The Steadidrone qu4d, it was great until it fell into a flooded rice field and wasn't found until the next morning.
So it's time for a little update, a few new parts.

heyo everyone, I need some advice on ESC's for a build.
I found some t-motor 650 kv motors. (MT3506-25 - 650KV) I'm running 12inch props (12x4.5 - 2 blade) on 6S battery. (These motors ran on 4S originally, but it was a bit agricultural)
It's meant to be a working quad, for carrying payloads, like lidar, thermal, and optical sensors and also for cliff diving and mountain surfing.
Now the question is: can i use a 55a Speedybee ESC for this, or is it better to use individual ESC's for each motor like they did in the old days?
