If you are going from analog to HD, yes, but if your going from analog to a little better analog, then no.

Have you considered doing a thermal analog camera such as the Caddx Eclipse? Since it's analog, you can go really far with a good VTX.

I play airsoft all the time, do you? I've always wanted to do a drone like that, but I never built one.

I like analog more than DJI, I feel more at home with analog.

It honestly looks like it has little damage so you could probably safely use it, but what I do when my batteries get damaged is use them for charging other batteries, powering goggles and other stuff. Just smell the battery and if it is a sweetish smell, throw it away, but if not, charge it on a low c rate and only charge to 4.1v.

Or you could remove those two cells and make it a 4s battery, I did it once and it worked well. Just be careful!

Get the DarwinFPV BabyApe Pro, I have flown DarwinFPV, and it is good. Also, it's about the same price as a tinywhoop, so you can't go wrong.

Okay, the HD2's were defective so I returned them and just got the SkyZone 040 pro's. They arrive in a week or so, but until then, I'll use the Echo's.

Here's a work of advice, don't disarm your drone at 380 feet... Don't ask me how I know the results... The drone is fine though 🤪 (it was a small 2").

That looks sick, but I will warn you that CNHL batteries aren't always reliable (i.e. cells dying randomly), so be careful, but they are really good batteries overall. Also, you might want to put a cover over those motor wires. The most frustrating thing is to go flying and have a motor wire cut in the middle of a flying session, but looks really good.

Use locktite, lots of it. Not too much though.

Thanks! I ended up getting the FatSharks instead on the 040 pro's because I got them for a really good deal. I might get the 040 pro's if the FatSharks aren't what I'm looking for. I remember that you have the FatShark echo's, do you have an issue with the smaller FOV on the SkyZones? I got the HD3's mainly for the reason that I love a large FOV for flying.

Does anyone have any opinions or feedback on the FatShark Dominator HD3's?

First off, that is awesome! I mainly fly toothpicks, and that would be a boatload of fun! I don't know how easy it would be, but when you start selling them, it would be nice to include the 3 (triangle) mounting screw configuration because it is hard to find durable frames that have that specific mounting. What grade is the carbon fiber? I found a 2" toothpick frame (Only 2.5mm thick) with T700 and I have had zero issues with the frame breaking, whereas I have had other frames that break in the first dozen crashes. 3mm thickness, 3d printed guards, 80mm drone... That is sick, mini bando basher?
