yeah, i'm leaning more towards the transporter 2, because even tho the eachines sound like they have good features i dont really want goggles are that uncomfortable. thanks for the advice!

yep radiomaster pocket is the way to go. the screen is not over the top but it really useful for configuring settings. its a good controller and there are lots of tutorials for how to get it set up in the sim and with a drone

Thanks for the insight 👍 The transporter 2s r significantly cheaper than the Eachine ev800d, but they seem like a fairly good goggle even without the diversity. Does anyone know how good dual antennas is vs true diversity?

@AurilFPV hmm ok. are the ev800DM any better? they are slightly cheaper and have a smaller profile i think.

@Wraith thats true. i saw that fatshark have been doing stuff with bomb drones, so i ignored their recon echo goggles. also, the P1 system looks cool, but i want to try learn freestyle, and i've heard the latency is pretty bad. i've only ever flown in the sim, so i dont know how much of an affect this can have.

@AurilFPV yeah thats true. i've looked at the eachine ev800d, and they seem to have good features for the price. they look pretty bulky and old tho.

Looking for my first pair of goggles, any advice?

Hi, trying to find a good pair of first goggles. I am looking for a budget analog pair up to $250AUD. I'm choosing between the BetaFPV VR04, EMAX Transporter 2 and HGLRC VR001. I am looking for goggles with good signal strength and good quality DVR recording. Also, I've heard that 4:3 aspect ratio is better than 16:9. Does that really matter for beginner freestyle? I would appreciate any opinions or other pairs of goggles I haven't looked into yet. Thanks!
